* Clare Panning, a senior pre-veterinary medicine major, has been awarded the University of Findlay's Katharine Ballard Reed Memorial Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.
Panning, a 2009 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, is the daughter of Pam and Mark Panning of Gahanna.
* Megan Barrick of Gahanna has received a Freshman Scholars Award from Cleveland State University. These scholarships are awarded to students who have a high-school grade point average of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 23 or higher (1,070 or higher SAT, with critical reading and math combined).
The scholarships are worth $3,000 toward annual tuition. Recipients who choose to live on the CSU campus also qualify automatically for an additional Residence Hall Scholarship, worth $2,000 toward annual room and board.
* Elizabeth Palmieri of Blacklick and Clare Panning of Gahanna were among the participants in the University of Findlay's Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity. The annual event provides undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences.
Palmieri and Panning are both majoring in pre-veterinary science.
