District Office Hours with State Rep. The Worthington, fundraiser for Outward Bound for Veterans, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 6, at its facility, 1201 Riva Ridge Court in Gahanna. The event will feature a yard sale with hot dogs and balloons. Outward Bound helps soldiers re-acclimate to society through wilderness courses that draw on the healing power of teamwork and challenge. Make-A-Wish 14th Annual Medical Mutual Columbus Walk for Wishes, 10 a.m. July 13, at Huntington Park and downtown Columbus. Participants can choose either a one- or three-mile walk to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. A Finish Line Celebration filled with music, food and fun will be held at the conclusion of the walk. Walkers also have the opportunity to meet current and past Wish families. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply.
