Gahanna Lincoln High School had grief counselors on campus on Nov. 19 after a sophomore died Nov. 18, according to district spokeswoman Mallory Sribanditmongkol.
Out of respect for the student’s family, she said, the student’s name wasn’t being released Tuesday.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family as they cope with this tragic loss,” Sribanditmongkol said.
Guidance counselors, mental health specialists and ministerial personnel are available to all students and staff members today throughout the school.
High school families were informed of the death via an email last night, and an announcement was made to the student body this morning.
Social-media postings called for prayers for members of the girls cross country team.
