Gahanna seeks assistance with bank robbery suspect

By

The Gahanna Division of Police is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect who robbed the WesBanco Bank, 116 S. Stygler Road, about 10 a.m. today (Dec. 6).

The male suspect approached tellers and immediately demanded money while brandishing a handgun, according to reports.

He’s described as a black male in his mid- to late 20s, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and an athletic build.

The suspect fled the branch heading east, toward a nearby apartment complex.

Police believe the same suspect is responsible for a bank robbery that occurred Thursday, Oct. 3, at the same WesBanco branch.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the suspect or robbery is asked to contact the Gahanna Police Department at 614-342-4240.
