The New Albany-Plain Local school board on Feb. 24 is expected to hire Carter as the New Albany High School principal and Emily Jablonka as the New Albany Middle School principal.

Jablonka is the principal of Jackson Middle School in the South-Western school district.

Both positions were posted on the district’s website and in several trade publications in 2013.

Carter earned a bachelor's degree in comprehensive social studies and has taught at the middle and high school level. He also holds a master's degree in education administration. He previously served as assistant principal at Gahanna Lincoln, as well as principal of Gahanna Middle School East.
