The deadline is Wednesday, April 23, for Gahanna-area residents to purchase a brick to be dedicated on Memorial Day at Gahanna Veterans Memorial Park, 73 W. Johnstown Road.
The theme for this year's May 26 ceremony, which is the 150th anniversary of Arlington National Cemetery, is "Honor the Tradition, Remember the Sacrifice, Explore the History."
The $25 bricks honor those who have served in the military. Each brick offers three lines for inscription, with 19 characters available per line. A commemorative certificate is available for an addition $2.
Applications for bricks may be picked up in the lobby of City Hall, the parks and recreation office or online at gahanna.gov/vets or gahannavets.org.
Bricks are dedicated on Memorial Day and Veterans Day every year.
