Gahanna police seek help to identify robbery suspect

The Gahanna Division of Police is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who allegedly robbed the Duke & Duchess, 407 Granville St., at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12.

The man approached the cashier, requesting a carton of cigarettes, according to police. He implied that he had a weapon and demanded money from the cashier.

After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the man forced the cashier into a walk-in cooler before fleeing on foot, according to police.

He is described as a white male, mid-30s to 40s with a goatee.

He was wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, tan shorts and slip-on sandals.

The suspect also appeared to have tattoos on both of his lower legs. 

He is believed also to have been involved in a robbery Aug. 12 at a Subway restaurant on Broadway Boulevard in Grove City.
