Columbus Academy senior diver Natalie Ritter won the Division II state diving meet Feb. 23 at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton.
Ritter's score of 454.80 gave her the victory ahead of Elyria Catholic's MacKenzie Tweardy (452.60), Wauseon's Kendall Weber (442.00) and DeSales' Andrea Acquista (437.75).
Last season, Ritter placed second to champion Nikki Craft of Bay Village Bay after winning a district championship. She placed fifth at state in 2008 as a freshman, but couldn't compete at district and state in 2009 because of an injury.
Ritter also has won four consecutive MSL diving titles.
On Feb. 18, Ritter earned her return trip to state by finishing second in diving at district with 488.10 points. Ritter was seeded second at state behind Acquista.
On Nov. 17, Ritter signed her letter of intent to compete in college next year at the University of North Carolina.
