Gahanna Lincoln High School senior girls soccer player Kari Weinland signed a letter of intent Feb. 8 to play for the University of Louisville.

Weinland, who played forward and midfielder for the Lions, had 19 goals and 32 assists and made the ThisWeek Super 12 as a junior. Gahanna went 15-5 and won its first Division I district championship that season.

Last fall, Weinland was among several Gahanna players who had an injury-plagued season. She finished with seven goals and eight assists as the Lions went 6-9-1.

Weinland had eight goals and 11 assists as a sophomore when Gahanna went 12-6-1.
