Columbus Academy seniors Courtney Deena and Casey Lange signed Feb. 14 to play field hockey at the collegiate level.
Deena, who lives in Pickerington, will play at the University of Maryland.
Lange, who lives in Gahanna, will play at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.
Both were key contributors to Academy’s state championship team last season.
Deena was a first-team All-American last season after making the third team as a junior. She also was a four-time first-team all-Central Ohio Field Hockey League selection, a two-time all-state honoree and ThisWeek’s field hockey Athlete of the Year last season.
For her career, she finished with 56 goals and 53 assists.
Lange earned second-team all-league honors and was the team’s Viking award recipient for her leadership on defense last season.
The Vikings went 19-0-1 last season and defeated Watterson 2-1 in double overtime in the state title game.
