A few months after guiding the Gahanna Lincoln High School baseball team to its first Division I state tournament appearance, Mike Shade will receive one of the biggest honors of his coaching career.
On Nov. 6, Shade will be inducted into the Central District Hall of Fame.
Gahanna has won district championships in four of the past six seasons, including last spring when it went 22-10 overall. The Lions lost to Cleveland St. Ignatius 7-5 in a state semifinal.
Shade has coached the Lions for 22 seasons. His career record is 362-227.
