Two Democrats and two Republicans will square off in the May 4 primary as they seek election to the 25th Ohio House District.

John W. Sowers will challenge Michael Stinziano for the Democratic endorsement, while Christopher W. Heiberger and Scott A. Hubbard will vie for support from GOP voters.

The 25th District covers parts of German Village, the Short North and much of the West and South sides.

Incumbent Dan Stewart can't seek re-election to the post because of term limits. Stewart is running in the 15th Ohio Senate District against Charleta Tavares and Oyango Snell.

In the 26th Ohio House District, incumbent Tracy Heard will battle Republican Joseph A. Healy in the November election. The 26th District covers portions of the German Village area, Italian Village and the South and East sides.
