Ohio Mammals Display, 1-4 p.m. Saturday and 1-7 p.m. Monday at the naturalist's office. See skins, scat, skulls and skeletons of Ohio mammals.

Creek Critters Display, 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the naturalist's office. View a display of live fish, mussels, insects and other creatures.

Cold Blooded Critters Display, 1-4 p.m. Monday at the Indian Ridge bulletin board. See live snakes, toads, turtles and other creatures.

Skins and Skulls Display, 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Discover the diversity of Ohio mammals.

Photo Prowl, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Join other photographers for a morning focus on photographic techniques.

Nature Station Fun, 1-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Nature Station. View walk-through displays of natural history objects and play nature games.

Preschoolers: Bite Me, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nature Center. Play games and sing songs to learn why mosquitoes like to bite.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

Sunny Sundays, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sundays in July at the Herb Garden. Members of the Central Ohio Unit of the Herb Society of America will be in the garden to answer questions.

Summer Children's Program: Herbs, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the program area, for ages 11 and younger. Identify herbs using all the senses and learn about their many uses.

Pickerington Ponds Metro Park

Canal Winchester

Greenway Trek, 8 a.m. Friday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Take a four-mile walk and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

Wetland Wonders, noon-3 p.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Dip a net into a tabletop pond and discover some aquatic creatures.

Nature Takes Flight, noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Learn about the lives of bats, birds and bugs.

Prairie Oaks Metro Park

Canoe the Lakes, 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard. Stop by any time and canoe Darby Bend Lakes. A limited number of canoes and equipment provided.

Preschoolers: Tram Scram, 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at the Apple Ridge Picnic Shelter. Search for signs of summer on a tram ride.

Tram Trek, 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area. Tram runs continuously for views of forests, fields and the covered bridge.

Gone Fishing, 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area. Try to catch the big one at Buzzard's Roost Lake, for ages 15 and younger. Some poles and bait are available.
