The Columbus Maennerchor, 966 S. High St., will host its 38th Oktoberfest Oct. 1 and 2.

The Columbus Maennerchor, 966 S. High St., will host its 38th Oktoberfest Oct. 1 and 2.

The event will run from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and from 3:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday. The festival will include dancing, live entertainment, beer and authentic German food. Among the featured foods will be a house-made fresh sauerkraut.

Friday's entertainment will include the Squeezebox Polka Band; accordionists Dave Sabatka and Chris Weiss; the Columbus Swiss Singers; and Germania Volkstaenzer. Saturday's lineup will include singers of the Columbus Maennerchor, Damenchor and Kinderchor; the Central Ohio Squeezebox Society; and the Chris Weiss Trio.

Admission is $6 for adults for a one-day ticket or $10 for both days. Children 12 and younger are admitted for free.
