A workshop focusing on home maintenance and repair will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 in the German Village Meeting Haus, 588 S. Third St.

The German Village Society's historic preservation committee in partnership with the Columbus Landmarks Foundation will discuss repair of historic properties.

Experts will be on hand to provide information about a variety of issues, including gutters, sidewalks, drains, masonry and windows.

No registration is required

It is the second public meeting on home repair. The first one, held Oct. 21, centered on selecting contractors and architects and working with the German Village Commission, the local architectural review board.

Chris Hune, chairman of historic preservation, said the purpose of the meetings is to educate membership and reemphasize the core mission of the Society, which is historic preservation.
