The Cultural Arts Center will present "Scapes," a visual whirlwind of oil on canvas paintings depicting abstract landscapes by artist Susan Hodgin, through June 15.
The artist will be available all day June 7 to give a gallery tour and talk about her work in person.
Hodgin was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and received her bachelor's degree in painting from the University of Montana, Missoula. Hodgin returned to Indianapolis to pursue painting professionally for 10 years before returning to school to earn her master's degree in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her work is collected and shown across the country in both private and corporate collections. Her studio is located at the Harrison Center for the Arts in Indianapolis.
Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Mondays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The gallery is closed on Sundays.
