Several thefts from autos reported in Village

Columbus police reported receiving several thefts from automobiles recently in German Village.

They included:

* Between 6 a.m. and 10:07 a.m. Oct. 8 in the 400 block of East Sycamore Street;

* At 10:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Mohawk Street;

* Between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 500 block of South Fifth Street;

* Between 3:15 and 3:29 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 300 block of East Kossuth Street; and

* Between 9 p.m. Oct. 16 and 8 a.m. Oct. 17 in 200 block of East Blenkner Street.

In other recent Columbus police reports:

*Copper downspouts were stolen between 6 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. Oct. 7 from a house in the 600 block of South Sixth Street.

* Between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. Oct. 17, someone broke the passenger-side window of a car parked in the 200 block of Jackson Street.

* A juvenile reported he was harassed at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 300 block of East Livingston Avenue.

He said the suspect had previously stolen a phone from him.

In the ensuing altercation, the suspect implied he had a gun and threatened to shoot the victim, according to reports.

* A burglary was reported to have occurred between 1 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 800 block of South Lazelle Street.

Reports said someone entered the victim's unlocked car and used the garage door opener to gain entry into the garage and steal a bicycle.
