German Village: Robbery reported in German Village area

A robbery was reported at 8:57 p.m. March 10 at the corner of South Third and East Sycamore streets, according to Columbus Division of Police reports.

A 33-year-old Columbus man said he was assaulted by two youths who robbed him of a $2,800 laptop and $500 computer bag. Arrested in the incident were two teen boys, ages 16 and 17. Police said they fled westbound after robbing the man but were apprehended a distance away.

In other recent incident reports from the division:

* A burglary was reported at 7:30 a.m. March 5 in the 300 block of East Beck Street.

* A felony theft was reported at 8:30 a.m. March 7 from a garage in the 300 block of East Whittier Street.

* A license plate was reportedly stolen at midnight March 3 in the 300 block of Reinhard Avenue.

* A felony theft was reported at 3 a.m. March 11 from a motel in the 900 block of South High Street.

* A German Village man reported his $75 copper mailbox and its contents were stolen between 6:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Feb. 20 from the 600 block of Mohawk Street.
