The Germania Sport and Singing Society in German Village will host its annual Schmeckfest, a culinary celebration of German food, April 27.
The Schmeckfest is a "tasting festival," where guests can try a variety of authentic German Dishes prepared by Germania members, event organizers said.
The specialities will include cabbage rolls, rouladen, goulash, sauerbraten, schnitzel, potato pancakes and other dishes.
There will also be a variety of German desserts and pastries and a cash bar.
A portion of the proceeds from this year's Schmeckfest will benefit St. Katharinen's Church in Trent, on the island of Ruegen, in Germany.
St. Katharinen's is attempting to raise funds to purchase a Brass Bell for the steeple and restore the church.
Schmeckfest will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Germania Clubhouse, 543 S. Front St. in the Brewery District.
Tickets cost $12 when purchased in advance and $15 at the door.
Children 4 years old and younger will be admitted free.
To purchase tickets in advance, call Jane Ott at 614-425-9439; or call the Germania, 614-228-9055.
Tickets can also be purchased at the Germania club from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursdays.
