The weather has finally turned and Village Connections is gearing up for a busy spring and summer.
With warmer weather come many opportunities for Village Connections members to call on our dedicated volunteers for assistance.
We can help with spring-cleaning, yard work, filter changes, patio furniture, and storm windows.
If you need help with more complicated tasks we have vetted vendors for window-cleaning, landscaping, home maintenance, pet waste cleanup, and more.
As we continue to grow our volunteer and vendor lists, we are able to provide additional quality services.
We are always looking for interested volunteers and local companies to assist our members. Together, these valued individuals help support our mission of keeping older adults in their homes.
In addition to home support, Village Connections offers many social experiences.
We live in a community that is full of cultural events and our summer calendar will include many community favorites as well as a few new events.
Village Connections encourages participation and offers Members transportation to and from community activities.
Here's a glimpse of what to look for this spring and summer:
* Third Sunday Concert Series in Frank Fetch Park.
* Actors' Theater of Columbus in Schiller Park.
* Picnic with the Pops.
* Tour Ohio day trips.
* Wine and food tastings.
* Wine and Painting on the patio.
* Pearl Market.
* Museum tours.
* Walking Club.
* Conservatory and arboretum tours.
Warm weather beckons us to get outside and enjoy ourselves.
With so many opportunities right in our neighborhood, there is no excuse to miss these fantastic events.
Village Connections is about connecting with neighbors, enjoying what the city has to offer, and giving back to the community.
If you are already a member, take advantage and call us for assistance.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or member, call or stop by our booth at the Garten Tour.
Our Village is a great place to live and we want to help you stay here as long as possible.
