Local jazz artist Mary McClendon will kick off the Third Sunday Summer Concert Series, slated for 7 p.m. June 15 at Frank Fetch Park, located on Beck Street between Fifth and Sixth streets.
The concert is free and open to the public.
McClendon, known for her jazz and gospel numbers, has performed throughout the years at many local venues.
Her skills landed her gigs with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and Columbus Symphony.
She's also worked with notable local musicians, such as Bobby Floyd, Don Tate Jr., Bobby Pierce, Geoff Tyus, Hank Marr and Mark Flugge.
The concert should last about an hour. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and snacks.
If it rains, the concert will be moved to the German Village Meeting Haus, 588 S. Third St.
