A refrigerator was stolen during a recent burglary in German Village.

The victim told police that between 4 p.m. Oct. 11 and noon Oct. 14, someone broke a rear-door window and unlocked the door to enter the house in the 600 block of South Third Street, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

The refrigerator was valued at $2,500. The estimated amount of damage to the door was $500.

In other recent police incident reports from the German Village area:

* Thieves made off with more than $4,000 in merchandise after breaking into vehicles in the 700 block of Mohawk Street.

The victims told police the thefts occurred between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and 6:40 a.m. Oct. 12.

Items stolen included a $3,000 laptop computer, $800 cell phone, $150 pair of sunglasses, $60 cash and various forms of identification and credit cards.

* Bank statements and deposit receipts were stolen about 3 a.m. Oct. 11 from a car in the 300 block of East Kossuth Street.
