Registration and the health fair will begin at 7:30 a.m. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. and the health fair will continue until 11 a.m.

The event is held in memory of Joann Warnke, who founded and conducted the Grandview Parks and Recreation Department's art class.

The memorial walk follows the same 1.5-mile trail around Grandview that Warnke enjoyed traveling.

The health fair will offer services and information from a variety of area businesses and organizations, including Ohio Orthopedic of Excellence, Arthritis Foundation, Central Ohio Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, Weight Watchers of Central Ohio, American Red Cross, Franklin County Office on Aging and the Traumatic Brain Injury Association.

Art and jewelry vendors will also participate.

The registration fee for the walk is $10 per person in advance and $15 on Aug. 1. Fees can be paid in cash or with checks made payable to GPRD.

The first 60 people who register for the walk will receive T-shirts, and special memorial ribbons and water bottles will also be given out to walkers.
