A Columbus woman was arrested May 22 on a theft warrant through Franklin County Municipal Court after being stopped for not having her headlights illuminated.

Officers responded May 20 to Pierce Field on a report of two juveniles vandalizing the pop vending machines on the north side of the park. The vending machines' front covers had been vandalized, causing $500 damage. The two juveniles were released at the scene and their parents contacted at a later time.

A man reported May 19 a gym bag containing clothing and headphones was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 1200 block of Grandview Avenue. Entry to the vehicle was gained by breaking the passenger side window, causing $200 damage.

A Grandview man was cited for endangering children after his young son was found walking around 9:45 p.m. on Oxley Road traveling toward Pierce Field. The small boy was wearing pajamas and shoes and did not appear to be injured or afraid. Officers checked several residences before bringing the child to headquarters and notifying Children Services. After about 40 minutes, the man called stating he was the boy's father. He said he was doing laundry and did not see his son leave the house.
