A police officer responded July 25 on a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle attempting to sell a lawn mower. Suspects were located and one of them admitted to police he was trying to sell the mower in an attempt to get money to buy drugs. The mower was seized pending further investigation and the suspects were released and advised they could face charges if the mower was found to be stolen.

A Columbus woman was arrested July 24 and charged with driving under suspension and expired license plates.

While traveling eastbound on West Fifth Avenue, a police officer observed four vehicles disregard a railroad gate that was flashing and down. All four vehicles were flagged over and all of the drivers of the cars but one were able to produce their license and registration. The driver of the fourth vehicle, a Columbus woman, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and providing false information to a police officer. The owner of the car was cited for allowing a suspended driver to operate her vehicle.
