Max Wyse of Grandview has begun a one-year work assignment with the Mennonite Central Committee in China, where he will be serving as an English teacher.

Max Wyse of Grandview has begun a one-year work assignment with the Mennonite Central Committee in China, where he will be serving as an English teacher.

Wyse earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Goshen College in Goshen, Ind. He attended Columbus Mennonite Church.

Each year, about 200 people begin MCC assignments.

Currently, there are 1,126 MCC workers in 49 countries.
