A police officer recovered a stolen vehicle on June 26. The officer was checking the parking garage on Bobcat Avenue for a vehicle involved in a hit-skip accident when he observed a car with Michigan registration that matched the general description given by a witness to the accident. When he ran a check on the vehicle, he discovered it had been listed as stolen by the Columbus police department. The vehicle was impounded.

A resident of the 900 block of Timberman Road reported June 25 a wicker couch, valued at $150, was stolen from her front porch.

A resident of the 1000 block of Parkway Drive reported June 25 a pair of eyeglasses, valued at $250, and $25 in cash were stolen from her vehicle.

A Columbus man was arrested June 25 and charged with possessing criminal tools and receiving stolen property. The man had been stopped for riding a bicycle at night without lights. He gave permission for police to search his backpack, which contained a GPS unit and a camera that it was later determined had been stolen from a vehicle.

A warrant for one count of felonious assault was filed June 25 for a Grandview man suspected in being involved in an assault of a man. Officers had been alerted to a possible domestic violence incident at First and Northwest. They found the victim lying on the ground bleeding from the head and being attended to by onlookers. The victim had apparently been knocked to the ground during an altercation with the suspect and several other unidentified males. The suspect left the area prior to police arrival.

A San Diego man was arrested June 25 and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence and speeding. He was unable to post bond and was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

A Xenia woman was arrested June 24 and charged with disorderly conduct intoxication.

A Grandview resident reported June 21 that two credit cards were opened in her name without her authorization. Total charges of about $5,400 were made on the cards.

A resident of the 1200 block of Wyandotte Road reported June 21 that numerous potted plants belonging to her were destroyed by being thrown onto her porch. Total damage was $200.
