Grandview council votes to place levy on November ballot
Grandview Heights City Council Monday approved a resolution to place a four-year, 7.5-mill levy on the November ballot.
The levy will be a combined measure, with 6.5 mills set aside as operating revenue and 1 mill earmarked solely for street improvements. The levy will replace the current operating levy, which expires at the end of the year.
The Franklin County Auditor's office ruled the city could not specify in the ballot language that 1 mill would be set aside for road projects, although the resolution council approved does make that clear.
It will be important to make sure voters understand how the 7.5 mills will be divided, Council member Anthony Panzera said.
