Kasich appoints Grandview's French to Ohio Supreme Court

Gov. John Kasich announced today (Dec. 20) that he has appointed Grandview Heights resident Judith L. French to replace Ohio Supreme Court Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton.

French serves as a judge on the 10th District Court of Appeals. She was appointed to the seat in October 2004, won election in November 2004 and was re-elected in 2010.

Her appointment to the Supreme Court becomes effective Jan. 1.

Stratton announced in May she would retire by the end of the year. Her term expires Jan. 1, 2015.
