O'Reilly to step down as superintendent July 31

Grandview Heights Superintendent Ed O'Reilly has announced he will resign effective July 31.

O'Reilly made his announcement at the conclusion of the Grandview school board’s meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14.

"Professionally, I feel it is time to explore other opportunities and to continue my growth as an educational leader," O'Reilly said. "Grandview is in a great position both now and for the future. With that in mind, I am looking forward to the challenge of serving another school district that is looking to improve."

O'Reilly has served as Grandview superintendent since November 2006. During his tenure, the district has consistently earned the top level on the state report card.

The school board is expected over the next few weeks to begin discussing the process and timeline for conducting the search for O'Reilly's replacement.
