Nationwide Insurance has announced it will construct a multibuilding corporate campus at the Grandview Yard development in Grandview Heights.
Over time, the company will move 3,000 workers from its Dublin and Westerville offices to the new location and another 600 employees to its downtown offices.
Grandview Yard is being developed by Nationwide Realty Investors, a subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance.
"This was the type of office development we envisioned when the Grandview (Commerce) Mixed Use District zoning was created for the Grandview Yard area," Mayor Ray DeGraw said. "The idea was that we would be bringing thousands of jobs to Grandview.
"We didn't anticipate it would be Nationwide," he said. "We're very excited that they are coming to Grandview."
A presentation about Nationwide's plans will be made at a special Grandview Heights City Council meeting set Monday, June 30. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Grandview Center, 1515 Goodale Blvd.
