Junior Kevin Frick, a Grandview graduate, placed third in the 10,000 meters for the Wittenberg men's track and field team in the Division III All-Ohio Championships on April 17. He finished in 32 minutes, 20.23 seconds.

The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series will be held Sept. 5 and 6 at Ohio Stadium with doubleheaders taking place on both days. All four games will be televised live on ESPN or ESPNU.

On Sept. 5 Dublin Coffman will play Westerville South in the first game of the day and Huber Heights Wayne will play Canton McKinley in the second game. On Sept. 6 Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) William T. Dwyer will play Cleveland Glenville in the first game and Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Frommel Smith will play Pickerington Central in the second game.

Former Ohio State and NFL football player Chris Spielman will hold the fourth-annual Chris Spielman Football Camp from 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 19-21 at Dublin Coffman High School for boys and girls ages 7-14. Spielman will be at the camp to direct activities and help provide instruction, in addition to various local high school and college coaches.

Former Ohio State men's basketball players and current NBA players Mike Conley, Daequan Cook and Greg Oden will hold the Buckeye Stars Basketball Camp on July 28-30 at Worthington Kilbourne. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to noon and the second session will be from 1-4 p.m.

The three former Buckeyes will be on site to help direct camp activities and provide instruction. Also providing instruction will be various prep and college coaches from the area. The camp will specialize in fundamental skills and the team concept of basketball.
