The football team will look to win its 12th consecutive regular-season game Friday, Aug. 31, against visiting East Knox.

Last season, the Bobcats won 40-13 to improve to 5-0 against the Bulldogs since 2007. They have outscored East Knox 165-60 in the five meetings.

On Aug. 24, the Bobcats opened with a 42-20 win at Centennial. Nick Schopis threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Luke Miller, and the junior quarterback also had scoring runs of 1 and 11 yards.

Nick Peck returned a punt 30 yards for a score and Payton Jones had an 85-yard kickoff return for a score. Jones led the Bobcats with 84 yards rushing on five carries.

Tyler Mosier added a 1-yard touchdown run. Miller caught two passes for 53 yards and Leo Readey converted all six of his extra-point attempts.

Grandview led 21-0 before holding a 28-7 advantage at halftime and a 42-7 edge after three quarters.

The Bobcats had 233 yards rushing on 38 carries and 297 total yards. They limited Centennial to 30 yards rushing on 31 carries and 179 total yards.

Grandview had 12 penalties for 125 yards.
