A total of 14 South-Western City School District high school students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at the South-Western Career Academy on Thursday, April 24, 2008.

A total of 14 South-Western City School District high school students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at the South-Western Career Academy on Thursday, April 24, 2008.

The National Technical Honor Society requirements include a grade point average of 3.25 or higher, five or less absences by semester, no disciplinary referrals, leadership and service in technical programs and other areas, and the recommendation of two academic teachers. New student members of the National Technical Honor Society are:

Class of 2008, Fanta Fofannah, Kyle Johnston, Ashley Pettey, Janay Ray, Michael Shipley and Julie Van Order Class of 2009, Esi Bransah, Brittany Eddy, Eden Estis, Animata Fofannah, Maria Gonzalez, Ashley Martinez, Bianca Quintana and Kristen Stone.

Cheryl Six of Grove City has been inducted into the Alpha Mu Delta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Hocking College. The honorary society recognizes academically outstanding students who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Six studies wilderness horsemanship at the school.

Grove City native Monica Caplinger will graduate during the University of Findlay's spring commencement on May 3, in the Koehler Center on campus. Caplinger is expected to receive a bachelor of science degree in earlychildhood education. The 2004 graduate of Grove City High School, is the daughter ofYvonne and Greg Caplinger of Grove City, Ohio.
