Zachary Ritchie and Keffer Fotheringham, both 14, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help├?Church were awarded the 46th Annual Serra Altar Server Award on May 11 at St Joseph's Cathedral in Downtown Columbus.

Zachary Ritchie and Keffer Fotheringham, both 14, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help╩Church were awarded the 46th Annual Serra Altar Server Award on May 11 at St Joseph's Cathedral in Downtown Columbus.

Bishop╩ Fredrick Campbell made the presentation, according to Zachary's mother, Sharon Ritchie.

The Serra Award is given out annually to the alter servers of the year for each parish in the Columbus Diocese.

Both boys will be freshmen at Grove City High School╩this fall.

The Serra Club is an organization Catholic men and women of all ages, lay members from all walks of life who have taken their name from Blessed Father JunÝpero Serra, a Franciscan missionary priest who established many missions in California in the late 1700s.

There are 670 Serra clubs with more than 23,000 Serra members in 35 countries.
