The Rev. Don Belcher and his family will be moving to Grove City as he becomes minister at Southwestern Church of Christ, 3767 Grove City Road.

He will begin serving the congregation on Sunday, July 6.

Belcher and his wife Pam have four children and a number of grandchildren. One of their sons is currently serving in the military in Iraq and his small family is currently living with Don and Pam Belcher, according to a church spokeswoman, Shirley Burdette.

"Don comes to us after serving with a congregation in Michigan for 12 years," according to Burdette.

Belcher is a graduate of Harding University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He has a Masters in Theology and a minor in social science.

Belcher has 29 years of experience as a preacher, the spokeswoman indicated.

"Don is a hands-on type of person, and he is anxious to work in the Grove City community where he and his family will reside," according to Burdette. "His goals for the church are to build the congregation, both in numbers and in Bible knowledge. Don presents the Scriptures in such a way that they hold your interest, and makes you want to know more about what God wants you to do."

Southwestern Church of Christ holds Sunday morning Bible study at 9:30, morning worship at 10:30 and evening worship at 6:30. Wednesday evening Bible study meets at 7.
