"The Grove City Art Sidewalk Saturday Series invites any artist in any medium to demonstrate and sell their artwork on one or more Saturdays in one of the six locations in downtown Grove City," Robbie Hay, a local artist and member of Grove City Tomorrow Inc., is quoted as saying in a program announcement.

Hay indicated that the art displays are being held in conjunction with Grove City's Summer Music Program, and that spaces are available Saturdays from June 28 to Aug. 30.

Each Saturday, a different band will liven up downtown Grove City. Artists will show their talents from Grove City Road to Columbus Street on Broadway.

Performers are invited to participate, according to Hay. Artists and performers should contact Hay at 539-5100.

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a community carnival called "Fun in the Son" on Thursday, July 17.

"The carnival will feature an inflatable jump-house, inflatable obstacle course, inflatable basketball shoot, corn hole, ring toss, milk jug toss, cakewalk, crafts, face painting, prizes, food and drink concessions and more," according to a spokesman.

The games, inflatables, food and other items require tickets which will be sold for 25 cents each. Most games and crafts take one or two tickets.
