Ray and Joy Beane of Ashville, who put on a car show for foster kids each year at the Buckeye Ranch in Grove City, were recently honored with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize.

"The prize honors auto enthusiasts nationwide who have made the ultimate commitment to keeping their most prized possession running strong with a clean and responsive engine," according to the announcement from a Pennzoil representative. The Beanes will also receive a lifetime supply of full synthetic Pennzoil Platinum motor oil and be inducted into the Platinum Hall of Fame, located at Pennzoil.com. Their car show last year raised $15,000 and had roughly 500 cars in attendance.

This year's show, the seventh, will be on August 24.
