Big Band sounds will be filling Town Center this coming weekend as the Summer Sizzle Concert Series and Saturdays in the Grove continue.

On Friday, Aug. 1, the band Swings the Thing will be performing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sizzle series sponsored by Grove City Parks and Recreation. They perform Big Band and swing music.

Saturdays in the Grove resumes Aug. 2 with the band In Full Swing playing from 7 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by Amity Care Home Health Services and Monterey Care Center, the Grove City Tomorrow gatherings downtown feature an array of artists demonstrating their craft in various venues.

Summer Sizzle on Aug. 8 will feature folk and country performers City Folk.

Saturdays in the Grove takes that weekend off with Balloons Off Broadway scheduled for that evening at Beulah Park. Festivities will run from 6 to 9:30 with entertainment by the band the British Invasion.

The Toll House Jazz Band's Dixieland sound will be on tap for the Aug. 15 Summer Sizzle from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Saturdays in the Grove comes back Aug. 16 with Snap Back, performing classic rock and country tunes.

Also that evening, a free outdoor screening of the film "Back to the Future" will take place at sunset following the concert behind City Hall. Pop and 1970s music is scheduled for the Aug. 22 Summer Sizzle, provided by the band Agent 99.

Show tunes will be provided by Voices Off Broadway the following evening from 7 to 9.

Dominic will perform pop favorites on Aug. 29 while classic rock is on tap Aug. 30 from the band Street Level.
