The Grove City Thrift Shop, 3684 Garden Court, is accepting light-weight and mid-weight fall clothing for resale.

Clothing can be donated outright, or may be consigned. The clothing should be clean, free of rips and stains, and not have visible signs of wear. For items that sell, consignees will receive 60 percent of the sale price.

Small household goods, knickknacks and fall seasonal items will also be accepted for resale. Pots and pans, bakeware and small appliances are always needed.

Cracked or chipped glassware cannot be accepted.

In addition, the shop does not accept light fixtures, building supplies, exercise equipment or computers and similar electronics.

The shop hours are Tuesday through Friday noon to 4 p.m. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The shop is closed Sunday and Monday.

All proceeds of the shop benefit the Columbus Cancer Clinic.

The annual╩Interfaith Association of Central Ohio's Main Event Luncheon is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26.

╩With the theme of "Understanding Religion through Art," the lunch gathering will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the King Arts Complex Ballroom, 867 Mt. Vernon Ave.

The featured speaker will be Susan Huntington, a distinguished professor at Ohio State University who is an expert on South Asian art and culture as well as Buddhist art. She teaches art history at OSU.

Huntington will speak on "Religion in Art, Art in Religion: Understanding Religion through Art."

Tickets for the program and buffet luncheon with salmon or vegetarian lasagna entrees are $25 a person. The deadline for making reservations is Oct. 15.

Officials with the Have It Your Way Foundation last week announced the awarding $806,000 in scholarships as part of the eighth annual Burger King Scholars Program. Thirty high school seniors from Ohio have received $1,000 scholarship awards in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement.
