The 29th annual Grove City Farmers Market will conclude its summer run on Saturday, Sept. 13.

For the season finale there will be a "Family Fun Day," similar to one held on July 12 for the market's second weekend.

Sponsored, as is the Farmers Market, by the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Family Fun Day will be held primarily in the parking lot behind City Hall, 4035 Broadway from 8 a.m. to noon.

In addition to the regular offerings of fresh produce, homemade baked goods and other market items, events that day are to include "Make and Take" crafts, cornhole games, face painting, the Jackson Township Fire Department's Smoke House, chair massage, free blood pressure screenings, fingerprint identification for children, antique cars, Boy Scout demonstrations, Little Theatre Off Broadway performers dressed in costumes and "Balloon Man." In addition, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. the group Three C Hi-Way is slated to perform on the stage in front of Graeter's Ice Cream at Broadway and Park Street. The band is described as the "musical road of the classics," according to chamber executive director William Diehl.
