Grove City Division of Police officials are seeking the public's help in connection with a robbery and kidnapping that occurred on Sept. 4.

A couple on a shopping trip at about 3:26 p.m. were kidnapped in a retail parking lot in the 1700 block of Stringtown Road.
According to a police department press release, the suspect in the case brandished a handgun and entered the truck of the male who was waiting for his wife. The robber forced the husband to get into the back seat.

When the male victims wife arrived, the suspect forced her into the back seat as well, the announcement stated. He demanded cash from both of them. He then ordered the female to the front seat to drive to an ATM. The female screamed in pain from a medical condition. That got the attention of a witness, who called 911.
According to the police report on the incident, the suspect got out of the truck and fled across the parking lot of the bank to which the woman had driven. He got into the 1990s model Ford and left the area.

The suspect is described as a while male, 40 to 45 years old, 6-feet to 6-feet, 1-inch tall, weighing 180 to 185 pounds. He had a rough, unshaven and slender face, sunken cheeks and a deep, raspy voice. His lips were wrinkled and dry, possibly chapped. The suspects salt-and-pepper hair was tousled, and boxed off in the back. During the robbery, he was wearing a plaid flannel shirt with a dingy scooped-neck T-shirt underneath. The sleeves of the shirt were rolled up. His plants were blue and his shoes were dirty.
