The Columbus area's 77th bank robbery of the year occurred in Grove City on Dec. 22, according to the FBI.

At approximately 1:06 p.m., a man with a "ghostly" appearance entered the Chase Bank at 4100 Buckeye Parkway, according to the report. The man was observed writing at a desk in the lobby, then approached a bank teller and held up a note demanding cash.

Although no weapon was observed, the teller complied and gave the robber money from her drawer.

The robber took the money and fled.

The suspect was described as a white man, 30 to 40 years of age, 5-feet 6-inches tall and of medium build, with dark scraggly hair and pale complexion. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark scarf, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Witnesses believe the man fled the area in a dark green-colored SUV.
