Shirley Spellman has returned to the Grove City branch of Heartland Bank to serve as manager after six years managing a branch in the Gahanna market, according to an announcement from bank president G. Scott McComb.

Spellman has been in the financial services industry for over 27 years. She is involved in many community and civic associations including the Grove City Noon Lions, where she is treasurer and one of the founding members. She is also a member of Cypress Wesleyan Church.

Spellman and her husband are longtime residents of Grove City.

"I would like to express gratitude to the (members of the) business community who have been so kind in welcoming me back to Grove City where it is truly great to see 'old' customers and friends," Spellman said.

"We are excited to have Shirley represent Heartland Bank in her hometown," McComb said in a statement. "Before my banking career, as an entrepreneur, Shirley was my banker. I recruited her in 2003 to come to Heartland. Since that time she has managed our main branch in Gahanna and I look forward to her continued leadership in her home market of Grove City."
