The Kroger company recently honored winners of the annual "I Am Making History" contest this weekend in celebration of Black History Month in February.

This year's contest, offered students the opportunity to submit art, essay or poetry centered on what black history meant to them or their community.

This year's 58 winners were honored at a luncheon on Saturday, March 14, at the Hilton Polaris in Columbus.  Logan Brunney, a student at Grove City Christian School, entered in the poetry division and won a trip to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati.
