Nine candidates have filed petitions to run for three open seats on the South-Western City School District Board of Education.

Nine candidates have filed petitions to run for three open seats on the South-Western City School District Board of Education.

According to candidate filings from the Franklin County Board of Elections, candidates on the Nov. 3 ballot will be Karen Dover, Charles Hale, Randy Holt, Jo Myers, Ed Palmer, Adam Slane, Rob Starrett, and incumbents Cathy Johnson and Greg McCarty.

The three candidates among the nine with the most votes will win the seats.

Also, two residents will run for Grove City Council's open at-large seat.

Those candidates are Steven Bennett and Warren Gard.

Ted Berry will run unopposed for council's Ward 1 seat.

Melissa Albright, Richard Rutherford and Michael Uhrin, current at-large council member, will run for council's Ward 3 seat.

Four candidates will compete for the two open Jackson Township Board of Trustees seats.

They are Daphne Hawk, Ronnie Rock and current trustees David Burris and William Lotz.
The two candidates with the most votes will win the seats.
