A public meeting is scheduled from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30 at the Jackson Township Administration Building, 3756 Hoover Road about Phase 2 of the Stringtown Road Reconstruction.

Grove City officials are seeking input on a proposed application for Issue 2 funding from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the reconstruction of Stringtown Road from McDowell Road to Hoover Road. This project is currently in the concept development phase. At this time, the City is preparing to apply for grant and/or loan assistance through the State Capital Improvement Program and/or the Local Transportation Improvement Program.

This project will extend the improvements that were constructed in 2005 on Stringtown Road between the I-71 interchange and McDowell Road. The project includes full depth reconstruction of this roadway segment along with the addition of a curb and gutter, a new storm sewer system, water main replacement, sanitary relief sewer, street lighting, sidewalks and bicycle accommodations.

This meeting is open to anyone interested in obtaining additional information on the project. Those who would like to share ideas but are unable to attend may call the Grove City Service Department at (614) 277-1100.
