A Grove City business has received a Best Industrial Project-Small Scale award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

The award went to ProLogis for renovating its building at 3360 Urbancrest Industrial Drive. ProLogis senior vice president Brian Marsh accepted the award at a Dec. 15 ceremony.

ProLogis completed the project in November 2009 on behalf of PSI Group, a division of Pitney Bowes, which included the development of a new high-speed mail sort facility.

ProLogis renovated the existing facility and built 6,000 square feet of new office space for a total of more than 93,000 square feet. ProLogis also provided energy efficient T-5 lighting to the whole production area.

The new facility employs more than 200 associates.

Mayor Richard "Ike" Stage said the city values its partnership with ProLogis "as we continue to work with them in attracting regional, national and international businesses."

ProLogis won the same award last year for the NetFlix facility in Grove City that serves as the central operations hub to 54 distribution facilities across the country.
