Registration for spring and summer youth baseball will be held during the month of February.

To register, visit City Hall, 4035 Broadway, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb.1-28. The office will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

All registrations received after Feb. 28 will be subject to a $20 late fee per child.

Leagues are available for children ages 5 to 17. Participants who reside outside of Grove City or Jackson Township corporate limits are eligible to play with an additional $10 non-resident fee.

First-time registrants must bring the participant's birth certificate, proof of residency and full payment.

Practices will begin April 4, with opening day scheduled for May 7. Games are held at Windsor Park.

Volunteer coaches are needed. Applications may be picked up at City Hall. Paid umpire positions are also available.

The RecSchool preschool program, operated by the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department, will begin registration for the 2011-2012 school year in February.

The program is designed to support the developmental needs of pre-kindergarten children who are age 3 or older. Participants must be 3 years of age by Sept. 30, 2011.

Half-day classes are offered one, two or three days a week from September through May. Classes are held at Gantz Barn, 2259 Home Road.

Morning classes meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and afternoon classes meet from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

The curriculum supports cognitive, physical and social development through art, literacy, music, math and science experiences.
