It is with great honor that I am writing to support and recommend Jeff Davis for city council.

It is with great honor that I am writing to support and recommend Jeff Davis for city council.

Iíve been a resident of Grove City for more than 10 years. I chose to build my home here because I wanted to live in a place with a true sense of community and connectedness.

Davis is a genuine, gracious and truly committed person. He believes in Grove City, and is willing to work for and be a part of making Grove City a great place to live.

His commitment to the community has been evidenced by his actions and efforts. When he saw that we were in jeopardy of losing our library, he got involved and chaired the successful campaign to save it.

We still have a library because he cared.

In many instances in life, it is difficult to measure the long-range impact that a person is able to have on the lives and places of which they are a part. In this instance, I know he makes a difference. I believe that Davis will be a valuable asset to our city council and ask you to join me in supporting him with your vote.

Most Ohioans believe in the idea of political representation chosen through fair and just elections. After all, the right to vote is one of our most fundamental rights as Americans.

However, some in office have a completely different set of values. Is it at all ethical to redraw congressional boundaries, so that representation of one political party will outnumber the other by 3 to 1?

How equitable is it that Ohio legislators recently passed House Bill 194, a law that reduces early and absentee voting of its citizens? Is it fair that many votes by Ohioans will be invalidated, because poll workers will not be required to redirect people who show up at the wrong polling locations?

Whatever happened to honest elections that were decided by the will of the majority?
